On the 16th of June, history was made at the grand launching and unveiling the latest JAC J7 which is befittingly tagged as “J7 The Sleek”, within the four walls of the JAC/Elizade Autoland Showroom in Lagos.
J7 The Sleek is a representation of luxury at its peak; therefore, to match this, the launch was an exclusive event with about a hundred guests in attendance.
As the sole distributor of JAC Motors in Nigeria, Elizade Autoland continues to break new ground in the automotive industry; which they have achieved once again with J7 The Sleek.
The event was compèred by the elegant, Mojibade Shosanya who opened the event by welcoming and introducing the special guests and dignitaries present at the event.
Mr Ademola Ade-Ojo, MD/CEO JAC Motors/Elizade Autoland briefly spoke on the history of Elizade Autoland’s partnership with JAC Motors during his presentation and spoke further on the challenges that plague the industry. “After four years of testing the Chinese Car Brand- JAC, we saw that these cars are capable of delivering value to Nigerians looking for suitable automobile alternatives. So, in 2017, we formally launched JAC Motors into the Nigerian Market. In 2020, the manufacturers of JAC Motors began a partnership with German car makers, Volkswagen who are dominant players in the global automotive scene. From this partnership, comes the introduction of the third-generation of JAC passenger vehicles of which the J7 model is part.”
He continued, “In the last 5 years, we have been able to push over 3,000 Vehicles into the market across these geo-political regions of the Country and we intend to push another 5,000 by the end of the year, 2025.”
Moving forward, the Head of Brand and Marketing, Mr Franklyn Okotie, gave a brief explanation of how the tagline, J7 The Sleek came to be. He mentioned that the sophisticated sporty design of the car was designed by an Italian artist, Daniel Galyon, who was part of the design team of the Alfa Romeo and Maserati.
The first part of the J7 Unveil was a product video which showed the exceptional features and specifications of the vehicle and it’s suitability for the Nigerian road.
A key highlight of the event was the testimonials by customers who have used and trusted the JAC brand. First was Mr. Boyega Shoyenwo, Deputy Chief of Staff, Lagos State, representing Mr. Tayo Ayinde, the Chief of Staff, Lagos State.
He attested to the quality of JAC vehicles saying, “We are proud of our partnership with Elizade JAC Autoland, a relationship that has spanned over five years. During this period, the company has proven to be a supplier of high-quality vehicles for the mobility of our officials. It is also worthy to mention that JAC pickup trucks and ambulances were found very effective in facilitating operations during the peak period of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.”
Next was Mr. George Olutope Onafowokan, CEO, of Coleman Technical industries. As a prime customer of the JAC brand, Mr. George attested to the fact that JAC Motors offers value for money, especially in a country like Nigeria, where value is primarily considered for any purchasing decision.
Another worthy moment was the goodwill message by the Chairman and Founder of Elizade, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo at the event. The launch of the J7 Sleek coupled with the progressive strides made by the company in the industry was indeed a proud moment for a visionary leader like Chief Michael Ade-Ojo.
The official unveiling of JAC “J7 The Sleek” was grand and the excitement of the guests couldn’t be contained at the sight of the beauty.
To unveil the masterpiece called “J7 The Sleek”, TikTok sensation and brand influencer, Iyabo Ojo, Veteran Comedian and Actor, Ali Baba the delectable Nollywood actress and producer, Yvonne Jegede rose up to the occasion and were the very first set of people to experience the car.
The unveiling event was wrapped up with flashes of light from camera lenses, drinks, food and music filling the atmosphere.
