We realize that sometimes, it may be quite demanding to choose a vehicle for a day to day activity. Therefore, we have identified two options of vehicles to make your decision easier.
When it comes to choosing a vehicle, you might be tempted to think that there’s little difference between a pickup and a sport utility vehicle (SUV).
However, the two classes of vehicles are entirely different in their strengths and capacities. Although, they are dressed up in fancy features, some pickups like the JAC T6 series, are designed to be sloggers, luxury and a family car with options of automatic or manual transmission, while SUVs like the JAC S series are better suited to being the family car.
In terms of space and balance, pickups and SUVs both have an advantage over some smaller, lighter vehicles. By virtue of their design, most pickups lack a full-size back seat, which is the safest place for a passenger to be in the event of a crash.
The Electronic Stability Control – ESC capabilities of some SUVs like the JAC S5 series provides greater safety and due to the higher ride, it provides better visibility compared to cars. They also have off-road capability, which cars tend to lack.
SUVs have greater towing capacity than cars, but will not transport heavy equipment like a pickup can.
SUVs have better passenger capacity sometimes comfort than some pickups. However they lack the cargo space of a pickup.
They consume more petrol than cars. However, while they consume higher petrol than cars on highways, they provide similar petrol mileage in cities: so if you are mostly around town then the extra petrol is not an issue.
